Care: Wash with soapy water. Avoid harsh detergents. Never clean ultrasonically or steam clean.

The name malachite came from the Greek - mallow-green stone - because of its resemblance to the leaves of the Mallow plant.  The  banding on malachite cabochons is a feature of this copper mineral.
